Never work in a call center. It’s an easy industry to fall into, and you don’t have to know anything going into it, but if you need stability or if you have a life…stay away. This coming Sunday I’m going to a recruiting seminar to work in one of the retail stores for a company I adore. I don’t know what a recruiting seminar is, but they liked my resume and invited me, so I guess it’s like an interview. The call center has me in a market where I have weekends off, so it was perfect. Or so I thought. I come into work today to find out on the 22nd my team is moving from the Greater Boston/New England market to the Atlanta market, so right now we don’t have a schedule for next week and the work week starts on, you guessed it, Sunday. As of right now I don’t if I have to go to work on Sunday, but I’m not missing this seminar interview thing. If I have to call out, I will, but not knowing what my schedule next is going to look like is annoying. Keep me in your prayers. Pray that I don’t go crazy between now and Sunday.
