+ This to me is hilariously sad. So, Jennette McCurdy, who signed with Capital Records Nashville in 2009, finally gave her fans a release date for her debut album, January 24th. She announced this on January 18th, six days before the release date. She tells us that the album will have seven songs and will be available EXCLUSIVELY at Justice, a tween girl clothing store. At a later date that is TBA, we will get the same album on iTunes and it will have three additional songs. Two and a half years with this record company and her fans get six days of anticipation with no promo for a seven-song LP. Not only is it available exclusively at the most annoying clothing store on the planet, its only available at select stores. And those select stores didn’t even have it on the 24th due to a “shipping error”. Fans called in asking about this new country album, and store employees had no idea what they were talking about. Jennette got gypped!
I laughed so hard yesterday when I found this out, but not out of spite. It’s a crappy situation and she doesn’t deserve it, but there’s an irony in the whole thing that tickles my funny bone.
