What a breath of fresh air. Just bought her album on iTunes, and she’s amazing. I don’t listen to a lot of Christian music, honestly, because it all sounds the same. This is different. Her sound, her honesty and vulnerability. It’s all different. Her lyrics speak louder to me because it’s not all praise. She focuses on sin, redemption, salvation, and sanctification. There are praise songs on the album, but there’s something about them that’s different. She has a heart for the lost and she’s speaking to their experience. The album sounds like something out of a Southern Baptist Revival. ”Let’s Go Home”, “Dear Adam”, “Cry Holy”, and “Forgive Me” are absolute GOLD. It’s raw and to the heavens. Check her out!
